To upgrade or to not upgrade

I would love to get a hold of Apple’s new OS X “Leopard” but the system requirements have surpassed by iMac G4.  The tech specs claim that Leopard required a 867MHz G4 processor and I have a 800MHz G4 iMac.  I guess this may be a reason for a hardware upgrade!  I have never liked the performance of “Tiger” on my iMac but it was definitely worth upgrading to “Tiger”.  I hate how slow it is to sync my 4GB iPod Nano using USB 1.0.  I like the “Spaces“, “Boot Camp“, and “Time Machine” features in “Leopard”.  But is my iMac good enough to keep using for awhile?

What I’m listening to/reading…

I just started listening to/reading the audiobook for “Confessions of an Economic HitMan” by John Perkins.  So far it is quite good.  I have heard this mentioned numerous times on the TWIT podcast by John Dvorak so when I saw it at the library, I thought I would give it a listen.

New Music

I am looking forward to the release of the new album by Coheed and Cambria titled “Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow“.  I also need to get the latest Radiohead album “In Rainbows“.

Miro

Miro is an application I just installed on my Ubuntu workstation and it’s quite fun.  I enjoy watching some of the latest shows from Revision3.  I’m still exploring all the different video content that is available and easily searchable with Miro.  Who needs cable TV with apps like this?
